Medical Records

Many patients have asked, “What happened to Women’s Specialty Care and my medical records?” Wisconsin requires records to be kept for at least 5 years. Between 2017 and 2021 the providers from Women’s Specialty Care utilized Bellin’s electronic system, Epic. If patients choose to follow Dr. Coussons at Advanced Care for Women, this integration means that all your records from 2009 until today are accessible and visible in both Epic and Athena Health. The promise and advantages of a universal medical record are not yet realized, but Epic and Athena have allowed sharing. Local patient records between Women’s Specialty Care, Bellin, Aurora, HSHS St Vincent’s and St Mary’s are all connected.

Your local hospital records are available to Dr. Coussons at Advanced Care for Women and any records in Dr. Coussons office will be visible in your local hospital chart.

If you are traveling from outside of the Green Bay area, we may have access to your records online, but if not, we will provide a way to transfer your historical records and will gladly provide our notes to your physician.
